The Hobbit Wallpaper

This is a desktop wallpaper I made in Gimp. It is based on a promotional picture for the upcoming movie "The Hobbit", due out in 2012.

First, I used a free program call Webinpaint to remove the text from the picture of the dwarves and then I re-sized it to fit my screen horizontally.

Then, I used Gimp to overlay it on a map of Middle Earth, along with the words "The Hobbit" and my signature.

Finally, I softened the edges on the dwarf picture and added some fog.
